Coin Through Hand

How it looks:


You take a coin and place it in the center of your palm.
The coin vanishes. You then reach under the hand, and pull
out the coin. The coin has gone right through your hand.

Some rules to go by so that performing the trick has the
greatest impact:

One of the key ingredients performing magic is practice.
You have to feel confident in what you're doing before you
show your skills in public. Practice the trick until you don't even have to think about what you're doing to make the trick work. It has to be second nature. If your fumbling around and blow the trick, Well, let's just say it's not very impressive.

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER REPEAT A TRICK!!!

Read that again. Read it out loud. Why? There's an old
saying in the magic circles. "First time is magic, second
time is education." When you repeat a trick, your spectator
now knows what to look for and there's a very good chance,
the second time around, they may very well figure it out.

This point is even more important.

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER

EXPLAIN HOW A TRICK IS DONE.

Read that again. Read it out loud. Put your right hand on your
heart, raise your left hand and say

"I SWEAR THAT I WILL NEVER EXPLAIN

HOW A TRICK IS DONE."

When you give away the secret, it demystifies the trick, and
many times the secret is so simple that the person will feel
stupid that it fooled them.

If they keep asking you how it was done, you can say, "I've
been sworn to secrecy by the magicians guild." And if you did
what we asked you to do two paragraphs ago, you'd be telling
the truth. Or just change the subject. "Where'd you get that tie?"
or "Do you know what time it is?" are just two examples.

* Follow the directions in the book,

* Practice until the trick becomes second nature,


* NEVER, NEVER, repeat a trick.


* NEVER, NEVER, NEVER explain how a trick is done.
